A man’s worth is measured by the worth of what he values.
The Hardy Walker series.
The Hardy Walker series, wait… I’m still writing the first Hardy Walker adventure, but I know there will be more.
The stories are just piling up in my mind, way faster than I can get them punched out with my four-finger keyboard-skills. I think there’s more than enough material and potential for a series, so that’s what I’m calling it.
Hardy, our not-so-heroic protagonist, is a man who is still skirting the edges of the law, after having lived a life of crime and, as soon becomes clear, brutal violence. Although never motivated by hatred or malice, the way Hardy goes about achieving his goals usually at best skirts the edge of the law, at worst transgresses far into the dark territory of violence and crime. Hardy is well equipped for this, in a past life he was part of a specialist force, trained in guerrilla warfare and terrorism, hired by governments that needed certain things done with "plausible deniability". Even though the skill-set is still his, Hardy has come to the realisation that he can sleep better at night if he applies it to what he likes to think of as "victimless crimes" and vigilante justice whenever the world throws an opportunity at his feet. At least it’s no longer outright bloody terrorism…
